Refurbishment and interior design of a large, late Victorian property in Sheffield, Yorkshire
"I was continuously impressed. Hannah was involved with our project right from the start. She has great style, which was obvious from the outset but I was continuously impressed by her highly organised, practical and flexible approach as well as her knowledge and experience. She really listened to our practical considerations for a family home and our budget."
The clients loved the proportions and feel of this stunning house so the brief was to create a design for the interiors that were sensitive to the character of the building whilst making it a functional and enjoyable family home to live in.
Very little needed to be done in terms of reconfiguring the space, other than opening up the kitchen and dining space and creating a utility and boot room on the ground floor, making it a more workable floorplan for modern family life.
The interiors of the house had a 1980’s feel when the family moved in so in changing chrome, black, and white for brass and dusty blues, pinks, greens, and greys we gave the interior a more subtle aesthetic that blended beautifully with the architecture of the building itself.
The master bathroom was a particular focus for the client who wanted this space to feel like a sanctuary of calm. The layout had to remain as it was but by completely stripping out the existing fittings and finishes and designing a stunning bathroom with a freestanding bath, bespoke joinery, marble tiles, and brass fixtures we transformed this space to become an elegant and restful room.
We transformed this modern Las Vegas property into a spa-like retreat with natural textures and organic elements.
