Stage One

Following your initial design enquiry, we arrange an in-person briefing to walk through your space or review plans and discuss your vision, budget, style and specific room-by-room details. We then email you a detailed fee proposal for your approval.

Discuss your project

Stage Two

Following the questionnaire, you'll meet with Hannah, either online or in person, to ask questions and show her your space.

Stage Three

There is no set structure; consultations are meant to be collaborative and bespoke. Beginning with two hour time slots, you can book your consultation in hourly increments depending on your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand you may be considering using an interior architecture and design company for the first time. Our FAQs are based on common questions we get asked. If you have any other queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Can you use other video calling apps for the consultation such as Google Meet or FaceTime?

We prefer to do bookings using Teams or Zoom as we understand the technology and have accounts with each, so we minimise any technology issues that are frustrating for everyone.

Do I need to download Microsoft Teams or Zoom App?

The experience is better using the Teams or the Zoom app but it isn't necessary. As long as you have the latest version of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or Safari installed, they will be able to support the meeting.

How do I prepare for the consultation?

Preparation can be as minimal or thorough as a client feels is necessary to accomplish their goals from the consultation. Generally, we suggest putting together a simple document or presentation that includes photos of the spaces you need help with any questions you'd like answered. Some people also include inspiration images, furniture/decor being considered, or floor plans / drawings, etc. If there are a lot of images you can transfer them via WeTransfer. We also ask you to complete a design brief questionnaire so we can gather as much information as possible in advance, to make the best use of time at your consultation.

Do we have a catch-up before the consultation so I know what to prepare?

We will send you everything via email to help you prepare properly for the meeting and that will allow you to ask any questions that you have.

How do I show Hannah my space?

Consultations happen over Microsoft Teams or Zoom video calls, so you're able to show your space in real-time using the camera on the device you're taking the call from.

Many find it easier and more efficient to gather photos of their space into a document, which you can email over beforehand. You can also review additional imagery using Team's screen share feature.

How much can I be expected to accomplish in a 1-hour consultation?

Our clients are normally pleasantly surprised with how much can be covered during a 1-hour consultation and come away from it feeling enlightened, energised, confident in the next steps to take, and full of new ideas for their space.

We are very experienced in helping clients to design spaces of all different shapes and sizes so we can get into the zone of a new space very quickly and are naturally very efficient with our advice.

However, if you have more than one or two rooms that are under consideration and you need advice, then we recommend that you book either two or three hours. We can help with this decision when you send in your enquiry.

What happens if in the meeting we realise we need more than an hour?

We try to ensure that your designer has time available after your booked time in case you feel like you need more time. They will let you know when the time is nearly up and discuss with you any next steps, whether you would like to continue the meeting beyond your booked time or arrange a follow-up meeting.

What type of product recommendations will I receive during my consultation?

If you are looking to source any items during your consultation, you can receive personalised item recommendations during the call. We can recommend pieces that are suitable for your space, style and budget.

Often the first call will be to discuss the type, style and budget of pieces that could be sourced and then we can work to source individual items and present those recommendations back in a follow-up call.

We can recommend antiques and new items, including made-to-order products. We will estimate how many hours that process will take and secure sign-off from you before we commence the sourcing process.

Is there a limit to the kind of support that you offer through your Design Consultation Service?

No, the only limit is Hannah's availability to be able to provide you with the time necessary whilst balancing our other project work, therefore each enquiry will be assessed on a case by case basis.

How and when do I pay for the consultation?

The fee for the time needs to be settled in full ahead of the booked time. You will be sent an invoice with the initial booking time and the associated fee, along with details of how to pay.

If you need more time than you have booked, then any additional hours will be invoiced to you retrospectively.

Would I receive any benefit from ordering fittings, fabrics and furnishings through you?

We hold trade accounts with a broad spectrum of suppliers of FF&E and benefit from trade discounts with them. In purchasing through us you would benefit from our trade discount be receiving up to 10% discounts from the RRP

What is your cancellation policy for consultations?

You may cancel or reschedule a Consultation up to 48 hours before the scheduled time of the Consultation for a full refund.

If you cancel or request reschedule less than 48 hours before your Consultation, you will be charged in full..
